    The Laoshan campus library was put into use in July 2007. There are 6 libraries including a comprehensive borrowing library, a sample book reading room, a periodical reading room, a newspaper reading room, an electronic reading room, and a back issue reading room, totaling more than 2,260 Reading seats; the Sifang campus library has a natural science library, a social science library, a foreign book library, a foreign language periodicals reading room, a scientific journal reading room, a social science journal reading room, a liberal arts book reading room, an engineering book reading room, an electronic reading room, etc. There are 9 warehouses with a total of 1,200 reading seats; the two campuses can provide more than 500 seats to meet the needs of teachers and students.

        The school’s books and materials total 2.8 million volumes (including e-books), with annual subscriptions of 1,367 current publications, annual subscriptions of 95 newspapers, 27,842 Chinese and foreign electronic periodicals, and more than 600,000 electronic books.         The Information Information Center of our library provides services such as information retrieval, original text delivery, academic retrieval, scientific and technological novelty retrieval, etc. for teaching and research. The literature teaching and research section is located in the information center to undertake the teaching tasks of document retrieval courses and library utilization education courses. The Science and Technology Information Center of Qingdao University of Science and Technology is located in the Intelligence Information Center, which provides intelligence information services both inside and outside the campus.
